What Does a Design-Build General Contractor Build?
A design-build general contractor designs and builds a project under one contract from start to finish. The same team handles the plan, the permits and the construction. UDA Services builds decks, porches, sunrooms, patios, retaining walls, garages, pole barns, home additions and custom homes. About 80 percent of our work is for homeowners, and the rest is commercial building. Most of our work adds usable space, either outside or inside the house. Our crews build composite, pressure-treated wood and PVC decks, from low decks to second-story decks. We draw the plans in-house for smaller projects such as decks and patios. Larger projects work with an outside architect.
